Young Thug Releases “On The Rvn” and It’s Just As a Iconic As It Sounds

It seems like Bey and Jay aren’t the only ones on the run this summer. Just a month after dropping Slime Language, Young Thug releases his 6-track, star studded EP. And when we say star studded... we mean Elton John stardom.

It seems like Bey and Jay aren’t the only ones on the run this summer. Just a month after dropping Slime Language, Young Thug releases his 6-track, star studded EP. And when we say star studded… we mean Elton John stardom.

The last track of the project is when Elton makes his appearance in the song “High”; which samples John’s hit song ”Rocket Man”. The melodic song has been highly anticipated since March 2016 when Elton and Thugger were pictured together after rumors spread about a possible collaboration between the two. Back in August of 2018, the song now known as ”High” – previously ”Elton Likes Me” – was leaked.

Along with the vocals of Elton, Young Thug gifts us with the vocals of 6lack and Jaden Smith. Similar to his vocals in ”Harambe” from his 2016 project, Jeffery, Young Thug plays with his nuances in ”Sin” featuring Jaden Smith. The Atlanta rapper plays with many references in the song, one in particular to the infamous Fresh Prince of Bel-Air; ”same name as the butler but got more money than Ashley and her mother”.

Earlier in 2018, Young Thug told us he wouldn’t be putting out any new music this year but he has surprised us with three projects so far. Could the rapper drop one more project by the end of the year? Looks like we’ll just have to keep looking for the subtle clues in his social media pages to find out. Check out ”On The Rvn” and let us know which song stood out to you.
